Old Town Winchester : Family Session

VirginiaFamilyPhotographer

Talk about slacking.  It has almost been a month since my last blog post.  It has been quite a crazy month!  I'm certainly not complaining though.  Between getting my photography business up and running full time and chasing around our precious little 10 month old (soon to be 11 month old...cue the tears, both happy and sad!), you can pretty much guess for yourself how absolutely insane things are right now.  So, needless to say, blogging has been at the bottom of my to do list.  My goal is to catch up on the blog this weekend...we'll see if it happens :)

Enough of my rambling, let's get on to what this blog is supposed to be about!

This family session took place on a Sunday morning.  We knew they were calling for rain, but we thought, hey, go for it.  Plus we all know how hard it can be to get the whole family together at one time!

We arrive in Old Town Winchester and there's not a drop of rain.  We were pretty excited and started the session.  About 10-15 minutes into the session, it started to rain and then it happened.

It POURED.  I mean POURED.  Rained.  Cats and dogs.  Elephants.  Bears.  All the animals.  It rained all.  Of.  THEM!

We left the train station we were at and made a mad dash for the oh so pretty Handley Library.  So thankful to have this beautiful building in our town.  It is seriously the perfect spot for photos any day and especially the rainy ones because it's covered!  Woo!

This family was so much fun to work with and made the most of our time together despite the rain!

Here are some of my favorites from the session...

They even included their son's girlfriend in the session and they were just so sweet together!
